How Does the Regular Shredding Process Work?

Once the service has been arranged, DGD Shredding will provide secure, lockable receptacles for storing confidential materials. At scheduled times, our trained personnel collect the contents for secure destruction, either on-site or off-site, depending on your preference. A Certificate of Destruction is issued after each service, confirming compliance and secure disposal.

Can I Choose On-Site or Off-Site Destruction?

Yes. You can select either:

On-Site Shredding: Documents are destroyed at your premises in our mobile shredding unit, providing real-time verification.
Off-Site Shredding: Materials are transported securely in sealed containers and shredded at our licensed destruction facility.

Both methods include full chain-of-custody and certification.

What Happens to the Shredded Material?

DGD Shredding is committed to environmental sustainability. All shredded paper, cardboard, and metal are recycled. Shredded paper is baled and sent to paper mills for recycling into tissue products. Materials that cannot be recycled are processed through waste-to-energy methods.

100% paper is recycled

100% of Paper, Cardboard and metal is recycled. Shredded paper is baled and then sent to a paper mill where it is recycled into tissue products such as toilet paper, kitchen roll and feminine hygiene products. We aim to recycle all the materials we handle. However, where materials cannot be recycled, they are sent for waste-to-energy processes.
